Lambeau Field – Green Bay Packers – Food Options

Lambeau Field is undoubtedly one of the most iconic stadiums in the NFL.

Home of Wisconsin’s Green Bay Packers, the stadium is famous for being the oldest in the National Football League, as well as amongst the coldest.

It is nicknamed the Frozen Tundra’.

Everyone knows that one of the best ways to stay warm for those cold winter games is to get yourself some delicious hot food.

With that in mind, this article is going to tell you all you need to know about the food options in and around Lambeau Field!

Food At Lambeau Field

Like any good major league sports stadium, Lambeau Field boasts a wide range of food options.

Options include generic concessions stands, specialty stands, seasonal eateries, as well as a standalone restaurant!

We’ll talk some more about the restaurant and concessions stands shortly.

Seasonal eateries include the Meat Packing Company and Goin’ Deep Pizza. The Meat Packing Company offers food firmly in the mold of Wisconsin, including cheese curds, extra large bratwursts, and stacked burgers, whilst the Pizza joint serves up slices of freshly baked tombstone pizza.

Concessions At Lambeau Field

The number of concessions stands at Lambeau Field is more than enough to keep any hungry Packers filled up, and the choices range from stadium classics to items you’re only likely to find on the menu at Lambeau Field.

Some of these concession options are Wisconsin classics, whilst others are a little more left field.

As you can imagine for a Wisconsin team, cheesy foods are some of the most popular at the concession stands.

The fried cheese curds are absolutely delicious when paired with a beer, and the iconic Packn Cheese- the stadium’s homemade macaroni and cheese served with specialty toppings- receives almost universal rave reviews.

Another distinctly Wisconsin’ item that we’re pretty sure is unique to Lambeau Field is the Elk Stroganoff- when are you going to eat that at a football game again?

Other unique food options include rotisserie chicken, poutine, Polish sausage plates, and perhaps least in character of all a Korean chicken skewer stir fry noodle bowl, which can be found in section 427.

Classic Food At Lambeau Field

You can pick yourself up stadium classics like popcorn, nachos, fries (and loaded fries), hot dogs, bratwurst, pretzels, peanuts, burgers, and chicken tenders at most concession stands.

If you’re looking for a real Lambeau Field experience, why not try pairing the stadium’s specialty loaded Bratwurst with one of your favorite beers?

Restaurants Near Lambeau Field

If you’d rather eat before getting inside the stadium (and at stadium prices, who could blame you) there are several great restaurants right on the doorstep of Lambeau Field.

If you’re hungry but also in need of a great beer, why not try Hinterland Brewery at 1001 Lombardi Avenue, right across from the stadium.

They serve some delicious American staples as well as offering a great selection of beers, including many local tipples, to wash your food down with.

If you’re looking for something a little more fancy, a visit to Taverne In The Sky could be in order.

The food and drinks are a little pricey in comparison to some places, but that’s understandable given such a convenient location and nearly unparalleled views across to Lambeau Field from its 5th story location.

How Much Does Food Cost At Lambeau Field?

The food prices at Lambeau Field are not publicly advertised on the internet, but most individual concession items cost somewhere between $8-$15, depending on what it is.

Obviously, the most basic items like chips and peanuts are cheaper. Prices at the stadium’s dedicated restaurant vary from $5 for basic starters, $8-$15 for soups, salads, flatbreads, and sandwiches, to $20-$35 for mains.

Can You Bring Food Into Lambeau Field?

Unfortunately, bringing outside food and beverages into Lambeau Field is strictly prohibited, so you’ll have to eat before you go in or take advantage of the stadium’s many food options.

If you don’t want to pay to quench your thirst there are two drinking fountains located in the Atrium, and cups of tap water are available on request from concessions stands.

What Restaurants Are Inside Lambeau Field?

Lambeau Field’s in-house’ restaurant is the 1919 Kitchen & Tap. The restaurant stands on the first floor of the Stadium’s five-story high Atrium, and is a popular dining location for locals and visitors alike.

The menu uses locally sourced ingredients, and boasts a wide range of salads, seasonal mains, flatbreads, and sandwiches.

Named for the year that Curly Lambeau first organized the Packers, the 1919 Kitchen & Tap firmly represents the team’s ethos and is a delicious, and authentic, Green Bay experience.

How Much Does a Beer Cost At Lambeau Field?

Packers games have long had a reputation for being more expensive than most to attend, and sadly that goes for the beer too. The price has gone up by 50 cents this season to $9.50 for a beer.

That isn’t the most expensive in the league, but it certainly isn’t the cheapest, either. That said, you do get to enjoy local brands like Leinenkugel’s, Hinterland, and Badger State Brewing.
